Welcome to Literacy for Math!

This wiki is meant for your Calculus class, each page has a different purpose, including articles, resources, collaborations, and vocabulary information. The wiki is meant as an addition to your participation in the classroom as well as other assessments in the course. There are three rules for the discussion section, be respectful, stay educational, and teach, learn, and ask...never be afraid to make a mistake, we are all human.

So, what's a Wiki???

Wiki originates from the Hawaiian word for "fast". There are many ways in which the Wiki is fast...instantaneous links, discussion, answers, and information. It's up to you to use the speed as you wish.
This is a quick tutorial on how and why to use a wiki , just in case you forget.

I know I have to learn this, but when will I use it?

In most high schools students are required to take four years of math, and many colleges require even more classes. Why do these schools require this if I will never use it?
Whenwilliusemath.com is a website to try and answer these questions.

Attached is the rubric you will be graded on in the discussion aspects of the wiki. Rember the rules,
  1. Be Respectful
  2. Stay Educational
  3. Teach, Learn, Ask, and Take Risks
